OUR SOLUTION...
This is our truth. This is what we believe about girls!
These are not just words. They are our beliefs.
Our Videos
Our first video was made based on our advisor Ms. Garcia's personal experience with child abuse. Ms. Garcia share how the sexual abuse she encountered as a 7 year old impacted her life. This video was created to teach kids that abuse is never their fault.
|
Our second video was created to inspire kids to realize they can be anything or anyone they want to be. We want kids to understand their value and speak up for themselves and for others.

What the data showed us.
One of the things Ms. Garcia pointed out what that our pre and post data didn't match because the pre-data included 8th graders. So what we did is we compared only the responses from the pre and post data for the 7th graders so we could see the impact of our presentation. We did ALOT of work to make sure we only compared 7th graders responses.
After we compared only Pre and post data responses, we found that
#9) If you were abused, how likely are you to tell someone- there was a 3% increase in students who selected 10 that they would tell someone!
#10 How important is it for kids to report abuse-there was a 6% increase in students who selected 10! And no one scored themselves as a 1-4!
#12 On a 1-10 scale, how much do you matter?- there was a 13% increase in students who selected a 10!
