Pre and Post Survey comparison
Students will complete a Pre and Post Survey so Girls Build LA can get data on abuse at our school SFIAM (Q1,2,3,6), collect stories (Q4, 5) and evaluate how much kids think they matter (Q12).  Posted below is the google form we will have students complete. 

Expectations: We are expecting that by showing our videos, the survey results for questions #9, 10, 11, and 12 will change. 
​We are expecting by doing our special advisory activity Q12 will change.

Post Survey:

After our presentation, ​students were asked several questions so we could evaluate the impact of our presentation.

  • I matter because today's video told me that you could hide from that person who abuses you but also you could tell someone that they are abusing you.

What did you learn from today's presentation?

  • It​'s something we have to think about and put thought into it. 
  • That there are many children getting abused and they don’t speak up 
  • That you should report child abuse and to not be scared to speak up, and a lot of facts about child abuse. 
  • Child abuse is extremely important. 
  • I learned that if I ever get abuse then it will not be my fault 
  • To always report it 
  • I learned that child abuse isn't always physically
  • That you should speak up for yourself.
  • To tell someone.
  • I learned that kids are to scared to speak out and that it's not the victims fault.
  • I learned that not all people who have been abused have speaked up.
  • I learned that people shouldn't take advantage of others. I also learned if your abused they should speak out loud and not be scared.
  • *Today's presentation taught me to never be afraid to report abuse or be abused
  • *Today's presentation taught me to don't be scared to report it.
  • ​I learned from today's presentation is its not what seems on the outside what seems is the inside
  • That people don't always want to tell others so you need to talk to them so they feel safe to tell someone
  • That children don't have fault and there scared to tell others for help .
  • I learned from the presentation that if you get abused tell someone about it of call a hot line.

  • I learned that kids learn to abuse when they grow up from when they experienced abuse.
  • I learn that meny people are a victims
  • I learned that children are scared of their life and it's bad because it's mostly by their parents.
  • I learned that it's not easy to tell someone that they are getting abused because they are too scared to tell another person but it's okay to tell a person that you trust. Also it's hard when it's in front of you, because you're scared of them but telling another person is important.

16. Please identify the video that impacted you and explain why.

  • Inside out beCuse it was very sad but it happens in real life. (2)
  • I like that “I am “ video because I think it’s cool that they think about themselves in that way (2)
  • I think is was the true hard facts because that one showed and told a lot of child's that have been abused and how much a year child's have reported, and those people who were sent to jail for abusing children. (2)
  • Transformer stood out to me because being so desperate to hide is really a problem. (2)
  • The video that impact me the most is inside out (2)
  • It impact me because I think mans are not to hit they girlfriend or wife.
  • The video stood up to me because it was worse then the other videos and because he was mad because of her food and was hitting her.
  • The transformer one impacted me because it just had a story that helps us.
  • The video that impacted me the most was transformer because the child was so afraid from his father that he had to turn himself into a box to hide from him.
  • This impact me because the poor kid is so scared he had to make a card board cabinet just to hide from his abuser. I feel like nobody should be scared to speak out loud but I also don't know how they feel. ABUSE SHOULD STOP!!!!!
